For those who live in the DC area, I have no doubt that you have heard of the Black Restaurant Group, renowned locally for a bevy of delicious dining establishments sprinkled across the DC Metro area. These include Addie’s (Rockville, MD), Black’s Bar & Kitchen (Bethesda, MD), Black Salt (Palisades, DC), and Black Market (Garrett Park, MD), all of which are absolute favorites of mine for their consistently delicious food, fresh concepts and embracing and sophisticated atmosphere.
Their latest restaurant, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace & Black Jack is a split concept that will include a restaurant/oyster bar on the downstairs level, and a swank bourbon bar upstairs that will include its very own bocce ball court. How fun does that sound?
The restaurant is slated to open next week, and I could kick myself because as I leave for my vacation next week (right on the 10th), it seems there are so many exciting events and openings happening, but I will be in the south likely getting battered beach side by the next hurricane (fingers crossed I am not!).
For those who will be in town, the restaurant is holding a pre-opening event to benefit the Children’s National Medical Center on Saturday, September 10th for $30 per person. The cost includes a an array of food from the new menu, and a cash bar will be open for business. So get a sneak, insiders peek at what is sure to become another of Black’s staple locations, and donate to a wonderful cause all at once. I suggest jumping on the tickets to secure your place. Once word gets around, this is sure to end up a sold out event.
